We have designed every aspect of our houses to achieve the lowest environmental impact, and a Code 4 to 6 rating, given by the BRE (Building Research Establishment). The quality of our product is therefore a crucial factor in our success.

To give some examples, our building policy means we:

~ use low impact foundations, requiring  minimal plant and generating minimal waste
~ use local, appropriate building materials with high eco-ratings and low transport costs
~ use natural timber floors and quality stained timber windows throughout, reducing maintenance costs
~ high specification of sound and thermal insulation to comply with future regulations,  increasing the life span of our homes and making them more affordable to run.
~ supply water butts, composters and a workable recycling system as standard
~ offer sustainable energy solutions as part of the build programme which will substantially reduce running costs
~ provide a comprehensive maintenance manual for all our homes
