All our homes are built to 'Lifetime Homes' standards and are designed with the flexibility to evolve to meet the needs of their owners, at all stages of life. Coping with the unpredictabilities of family life means designing the following features into all our developments:
* Wide doors throughout for prams and wheelchairs * Wide straight staircases to take stairlifts * Wetrooms as standard for young children and the elderly * Stengthened bathroom walls to take support handles * Leaving a structural opening in the first floor to take a through floor lift * Designing for full mobility access and use * Strengthening of ceiling joists to take hoist between bedrooms and bathroom * Parking provision close to each home with enough width to extend for disabled use. * Front porches for protection with security lighting above all doors
Future changes to layout and design can be made cheaply and efficiently because our construction methods mean none of the internal walls are loadbearing. We can even convert 2 bed semis into 4 bed family homes if the local needs change over time.
The end result of this built in flexibility is that we can afford to build to order, and that simplifies the whole process, from the granting of planning permission to the ease with which our homes can be completed within short build programmes.
